Please read the following description of the Global Vision Christian School English Mission Camp Volunteer Program and sign your name below.

This is a 2-week sleepover camp to help Korean children in grades 3 to 8 learn English through teaching, educational activities, and recreation. This camp is operated by Global Vision Christian School and based on Christian values. The campus is located in Mungyeong, South Korea.

All volunteers are expected to take charge of a class as a head teacher or teacher's assistant and cooperate and participate in the camp's daily schedule and activities. Volunteers are not to go out of the campus during the camp period without prior consent by the school administrator. There are one or more organized field trips during the camp and all volunteers are to participate in these trips.

Transportation, food, lodging on site, and the tour are all provided by the school, but airfare to and from Korea and personal expenses are the volunteer's responsibility.
Camp period: July 12th through August 10th in 2026
Details for Volunteers:
Flight: Volunteers will be responsible for paying for their own flights to and from South Korea.
Lodging & Meals: We will cover your lodging and 3 meals a day during the camp in Mungyeong and tour days.
Tour: We will provide a 4-day guided tour of Seoul, giving you the chance to explore South Korea’s vibrant capital city.
Transportation: Pick up from Incheon airport to the campus and ride back to the airport will be provided as well as ways to get around during the tour are included.

Please read the following Pledge of Activity Rules and then sign below.

I will follow the camp rules mentioned below:
I. Personal Attire 
1) Excessive hair dyeing, tattoos or piercings are not permitted.
2) Volunteers must wear semi-formal attire as a teacher. (shorts, crop/spaghetti strap tops and flip-flops are not allowed.)
II. Behavior
1) Volunteers are not permitted to drink alcohol, smoke (vapes, tobacco, illegal substances, etc.), use profane language, or physically harm others or themselves.
2) Volunteers are not permitted to bring or view pornographic material and cannot use obscene words and actions.
3) Volunteers are not permitted to engage in any romantic relationships or show public romantic displays of affection on campus.
4) Volunteers must stay on campus grounds during the duration of the camp.
III. Work 
1) Volunteers must bring their own laptops.
2) Volunteers must promptly keep working hours and be on time.
3) Volunteers agree to strive to their best in their given role and will not do anything that will harm their fellow workers by neglecting their duties.
4) Volunteers will keep in mind that students see them as a teacher, not a friend.
5) Volunteers must keep their dorm room and classroom clean and neat.
6) Volunteers will bring medications or supplements necessary for themselves.
IV. This camp activity is not a part-time job but volunteer work, so there will be no compensation, such as a salary. 
V. All volunteers will obey the camp administrative director and adhere to the camp regulations, schedules and programs.

Join us for an exciting and meaningful summer camp experience at a private Christian school in Mungyeong, South Korea. We are seeking passionate and dedicated young adults to volunteer and assist with the camp activities. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while exploring the rich culture of South Korea.

Volunteer Opportunities:

The volunteer position is open to college students who are enthusiastic about teaching, mentoring, and leading students in grades 3 through 8with various educational and recreational activities. This is the 54th English Mission Camp organized by GVCS, www.gemgem.org. The mission for this vacation camp is to share the gospel and Christian values while satisfying the need for learning English. Most of the materials and programs are in English and provided by the school. No teaching experience is required-just a heart for service and a willingness to engage with students. Also, a $500 scholarship is open to all the eligible volunteers.
